VII edition of "Urban Nature"
This initiative, now in its seventh edition, was created to show citizens the importance and value of nature, recognizing the centrality of ecosystems and ecological networks and promoting virtuous actions to protect and increase urban biodiversity.
The Friulian Museum of Natural History participates by organizing two special events Saturday, October 07: at 10:00 a visit to the Botanical Garden of Friuli and at 16:00 at the Museum Garden.
The first, from 10 to 11 in via Urbanis in Udine, will allow you to admire a small corner of nature in the city, in particular exotic trees and shrubs present on site with their autumn dress and some typical habitats of Friuli Venezia Giulia that have been rebuilt in the Garden, such as the wet area, the stable meadow and the monococco field where some archeophytes grow.
The second, from 16 to 17 in Via C.G. Sabbadini 32 in Udine, will allow you to deepen, through a visit to the different teaching stations in the Museum Garden, the theme of the relationship man-nature and in particular urban biodiversity and how environments such as parks, gardens, waterways, hedges can have a great ecological importance, especially if properly managed.
