The Museum’s deposits contain more than 1.300.000 finds coming mainly from Friuli. A good part of them is part of historical collections of great interest, others constitute collections open to continuous increases in research or acquisitions.
The heritage is organized into five sections:
- Botany (234,823 finds)
- Geo-Paleontological (127,163 finds)
- Mineralogical and Petrographic (13,000 finds)
- Palethnology and Anthropology (225,201 finds)
- Zoologics (20,460 Vertebrates and 691,441 Invertebrates)
The Museum is also equipped with a specialized Library and a Media Library (85,498 titles and 22,000 images)
