LIBRARY AND MEDIA LIBRARY

The Museum has a library open to the public and specialized in the disciplines of competence of the Museum with particular regard to the Friuli area. Thanks to acquisitions, donations and exchanges with national and foreign institutions, the library’s assets currently include:
- over 85.000 securities,
- 1.610 periodical titles,
- over 40.000 monographs, brochures and miscellaneous.

The collection also includes:
- a section of ancient and rare texts,
- geographical, topographical and geological maps,
- multimedia material,
- a section for young people.

The Library has enriched its heritage also through a series of special funds of particular value, including the Fornaciari Fund, the Paiero Fund, the Piussi Fund and the Polli Fund.  The Library is open to the public for consultation and loan at the following times: Monday, Thursday and Friday 10.00-12.00, Tuesday 15.00-17.00. 

Inter-library loan and document delivery services are also active.

The Library is open to the public for consultation and loan at the following times: Monday, Thursday and Friday 10.00-12.00, Tuesday 15.00-17.00.
