After almost   150 years of history, since 2015 the Museum has a permanent location in the area of the former Municipal Slaughterhouse of Via Sabbadini, a complex of industrial archeology, organized horizontally over an area of 25,000 m².

It is also a conceptual reworking of the spaces: from Macello to a place of knowledge of nature, the history of the earth and man with educational workshops, green areas redesigned as an outdoor museum, warehouses, archives and offices, open to the knowledge of all.
